“GLDI is not a church retreat. It’s an intensive program that prepares you spiritually and stimulates you mentally and physically. I learned that being a full-time ambassador for Christ is not about being a pastor or missionary but about doing all things for God’s glory in your given position, environment, and place. GLDI was the best investment in my life.” 

GLDI  was truly the most challenging but eye-opening journey of my life. My weaknesses were exposed and core beliefs shaken, and my knowledge of so many aspects of life broadened. GLDI offered the kind of insightful, messy, creative, difficult, radical, once-in-a-lifetime transforming experience that a prestigious internship or luxurious vacation cannot. Belonging to GLDI’s network of brilliant leaders, staff, and fellow peers (who will no doubt be the next generation of brilliant leaders) is perhaps one of the most valuable things you can take with you after GLDI and even for the rest of your life. 

I would describe GLDI as the most intentional time I’ve spent with God… GLDI was not only a place where I had the opportunity to seek Him, but also a place where I was encouraged by a community of believers to go farther and deeper in my walk with Christ. GLDI is a place of safety where everyone can come together, be vulnerable, and let God use that vulnerability and honesty to develop you.
